Cocoon Childcare
Cocoon Childcare is one of Ireland’s leading childcare providers and operates fourteen centres in Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare. We were brought on board to redesign their website adding to the quality of care the team provide and showcasing the fun, care and positive experiences both children and parents have with the brand.
Challenge
The old website was cluttered, outdated with badly presented content and a poor user interface and mobile experience. Our task needed to simplify the message and create a better user experience in order to attract mom’s and dad’s attention. The website and brand image needed to be completely redesigned.
Solution
Our research and conversations with Cocoon led us to the new redesign for the website. The concept of fun, friendship and care was incorporate into the design by telling a visual story between Conor the caterpillar and his friends. The staff provide fun, care and protection giving parents peace of mind knowing that their child is being looked after and we wanted to emulate this through the website.
We redesigned the website with custom graphics and photography to capture the unique atmosphere of fun and care in the Cocoon centres. Using clean navigation and user interface to present the content clearly and help the user navigate through the site easily to deliver a better story and user experience.
The new website includes a custom location proximity search to find your nearest creche and a custom payment portal for new customers to pay their initial fees.

We contacted Designit to redesign and develop our new website. Our old website was outdated, cluttered and had a poor user interface and mobile experience.
