What We Offer

At Designit, we provide comprehensive web hosting services tailored to your business needs:

• Hosting
  We use cloud virtual private servers (VPS) based in Ireland for our clients’ websites. A cloud VPS hosts your website across multiple servers offering flexibility, scalability and security. It also offers better uptime, improved reliability, and the ability to scale resources on demand. All the websites on our VPS are clients of Designit, so there is no fear of your website being hosted on the same server as a website who’s activities may risk all other websites on the same webserver. We also only place a maximum of 9 websites on each VPS so there are no issues with resource availability (for reference, standard shared web hosting may have up to 250 websites on it - not a great idea!). 
   
• Domain Registration/Management
  A domain is your digital address – the right domain can mean everything to your business. A domain is the easy-to-remember name that directs traffic to your website, email server, etc… We can register and manage your domain for you, ensuring it is always registered and correctly pointing to the relevant services for your business. 
   
• Server Management
  With our hosting, we manage all aspects of the server for you. We keep the server software up-to-date and secure, reducing the risk of a security breech to the minimum. We also monitor the server to make sure your website is online and available at all times. 
   
• SSL Certificate
  All websites must have a SSL Certificate. A SSL Certificate authenticates a website’s identity and enables an encrypted connection between your website and your customers web browser, ensuring secure data transmission and protecting your customers sensitive information. We can set-up and manage your SSL certificate, ensuring your website is always secure. 
   
• Cookie Management
  With the introduction of GDPR and the recent ePrivacy Directive, any website that uses cookies must offer a visitor to the website the options to accept/reject each individual cookie. They must also be given the reason for the use of each cookie and this information must be current and up-to-date. At Designit we use a cookie management tool that scans your website every week to check to see what cookies are in use. The results of the scan are then used to build an on-the-fly cookie accept/reject banner and a cookies report for your website - giving you peace of mind that your website will always comply with the regulations. 
   
• Backup & Recovery
  We offer automated website backups and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring that your website’s data is secure and can be restored quickly in case of an issue. All of our backups are stored in a different data centre (also based in Ireland), so in the unlikely event of complete destruction of the data centre hosting the VPS, your data is still safely stored in a separate location.
